This weekend was stacked with several great fights, but Urijah Faber vs. Jens Pulver was definitely a bout to remember. After 5 rounds of action-packed battling, Urijah Faber was able to take home the victory via a unanimous decision. It wasn’t easy for the current featherweight champ as he stood toe to toe with Pulver throughout the entire fight. However, Faber proved to be the better man at the end of the night and remains undefeated in the WEC.
Another exciting bout that kept everyone on their feet was Miguel Torres vs.Yoshiro Maeda. The Bantam champion was stunned in the early minutes of the first round as Maeda kept placing several hard-hitting punches to his face. This eventually led to a very aggressive Torres as he returned the favor with harder punches, kicks and knees to Maeda’s body and face. Torres added another win to his record as the doctor stopped the fight in the third round. Maeda’s swollen eye was too severe to keep the fight going.
