The UFC will be looking to increase their pay per view events from $39.95 to $44.95 by February of 2008. Zuffa has reported that UFC 81 will be the first event where PPV will increase 5 dollars more than the regular price. At the rate these shows are selling, it didn’t seem too much of a surprise.
The UFC offers tons of free events throughout the year as it is. Spike TV airs UFC Fight Night and episodes of The Ultimate Fighter absolutely free. At the moment, the UFC and CBS are in talks as they are trying to make a deal to air events on mixed martial arts . If a negotiation goes through, it can only mean more UFC on television and for free as well!
