UFC 78 will be taking place at the Prudential center in Newark, New Jersey on November 17. Karo Parisyan is excited to come back into the octagon after being absent since July when he claimed victory against Josh Burkman at UFC 71 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The UFC was having trouble finding a good candidate to fight Parisyan until they finally acquired the man they wanted originally. Hector Lombard ran into some problems with his visa, which prevented him from entering the United States.
Lombard was born in Cuba and has been living in Australia for quite some time now. His main skill is Judo and he has been very well known for his fighting out in PrideFC, DEEP, Spirit MC and his participation in the Sydney Olympics held back in 2000 where he ended up 5th in the Judo competitions.
UFC 78 will include the rematch between Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz, Frankie Edgar vs. Spencer Fisher, Joe Lauzon vs. Jason Reinhardt, Akihiro Gono vs. Tamdan McCrory and we will keep you updated on the rest of the matches as soon as the UFC releases the official fight card for this event.
