According to a Brazilian website, Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira seems to be training extremely hard for Cheick Kongo. Both fighters are coming off huge wins where Minotauro won in a unanimous decision against Heath “Texas Crazy Horse” Herring and Cheick Kongo also won the same way against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic.
Minotauro states that he can definitely match up pretty well with Kongo, especially standing up as he has been studying his every move. Both men need the win in order to continue getting closer to that title shot. Randy Couture is the current Heavyweight champ where he took the belt from Tim Sylvia, defended it when he faced Gabriel Gonzaga, and now awaits his next opponent as he recovers from a minor elbow injury.
