Nick Diaz was being treated last Wednesday for staph infection while his brother, Nathan Diaz, fought at the Ultimate Fight Night 11 event in Nevada.
Nick was feeling quite strange the night of his bout, where he fought with Mike Aina at EliteXC-Uprising . When arriving in Nevada the next day (Sunday), he began to feel symptoms of sweats and nausea. Diaz was taken to the hospital immediately and it was there where he learned that he had acquired a staph infection.
Diaz is feeling much better now after being hospitalized for a few days. He was released earlier this week and is now recovering at home in Stockton, California.
