Kala Kolohe Hose was named ICON’s new middleweight champion after he defeated Phil "The New York Bad Ass" Baroni at the ICON: To Hell and Back event last night. It wasn’t easy for the Hawaii native as it took him almost all 5 round to defeats the former UFC middleweight contender.
Baroni did some damage in the early rounds of the bout as he repeatedly side-mounted Hose and used his ground and pound skills. Hose would not be taken out that easily though because it was the stamina that won the fight. The fatigued Baroni couldn’t keep up with Hose’s endurance any further. Hose took advantage in the first 24 seconds of the 5th round to claim victory over the New York bad ass.
