UFC Fight of the Week (UFW) goes to the fight between Nick Diaz and Takanori Gomi. As we look back to late February of this year, Gomi was PrideFC’s Lightweight Champion at Pride 33-The Second Coming. Gomi faced UFC veteran Nick Diaz in a non-title fight, where Diaz stunned MMA fans all over the world including Japan (Home to PrideFC).
The Lightweight title was not on the line and that made many Diaz fans furious at the time. Either way, Diaz was given an NC (no contest) days later after he tested positive for Marijuana. The NSAC overturned the submission he had on Gomi for illegal drug use.
This is probably one of best fights in MMA history:
