WEC: Urijah Faber Excited To Fight Jens Pulver On June 1st- “It’s Gonna Be Amazing”

The current WEC featherweight champion, Urijah “California Kid” Faber, is set to take on the former UFC champion Jens “Lil Evil” Pulver.  Both men feel confident coming into this fight that is scheduled to take place on June 1st in Sacramento, California.

Faber remains undefeated in the WEC organization and holds a 20-1-0 overall MMA record.  A must-see fight for all MMA fans at the Arco Arena.  Also on the fight card is the current WEC Bantamweight (135 lbs.) champion who will be looking to take on Yoshiro Maeda.

Here’s a snip from Faber regarding his fight with Jens Pulver:

“I’m really excited…This is a great opportunity for me. It’s been a while since I’ve fought in my hometown. This size of venue, it’s gonna be huge. It’s at the Arco Arena, fighting Jens Pulver, who is a bad dude…They’ve (Zuffa-Fertitta brothers) done a great job of promoting me and I’ve been around this sport for a while now and been around (Sacramento) most of my life… I’m happy they have the faith to bring the event to Sacramento…June 1, Jens Pulver, former UFC champion, and far as I’m concerned, a legend in this sport, vs. me, Urijah Faber, ‘California Kid,’ the #1 featherweight in the world.  It’s gonna be amazing.”
