UFC welterweight fighter Karo Parisyan has been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after his UFC 94 fight against Dong Hyun Kim. After a few drugs tests, Parisyan’s results came out positive for oxymorphone, hydromorphone, and hydrocodone. The entire commission voted to suspend the Armenian-American fighter for a total of 9 months and was fined 40% of his $80,000 USD purse, which comes out to $32,000 USD.
Although Parisyan had defeated Kim via a split decision, the NSAC has decided to overturn the win to a “No Decision” due to these positive drug tests.
