Jon Fitch has been selected to take on Paulo Thiago as part of the UFC 100 fight card. Fitch is coming off a unanimous decision win over Japanese fighter Akihiro Gono at UFC 94. He was able to quickly bounce back from his previous title shot loss against Georges St. Pierre back in August of 2008 at UFC 87. Fitch currently holds an overall UFC record of 9 wins and 1 loss.
Paulo Thiago will be participating in his second UFC event after defeating Josh Koschech via a first round knockout. The undefeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist is now 1-0 in the UFC and holds an overall MMA record of 11 wins, 0 losses.
UFC 100 is scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rumored main event is set to headline a UFC heavyweight unification title match between Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar.
