Fedor Emelianenko vs. Tim Sylvia On July 19

The former UFC heavweight champion was recently released
from his UFC contract and has now signed with Adrenaline MMA, formerly known as
M-1 Global organization.  At the same time, there was also news that Fedor
Emelianenko had been released from his M-1 Global contract.  There could
be some sort of a 1-fight deal for the Russian Sambo fighter at this
point.  Either way, this fight sounds very exciting and simply another one
of Fedor’s can’t-wait-to-watch type of event.

Here’s a snip from Fedor Emelianenko:

"[Sylvia] is a good fighter, a strong fighter, the former UFC heavyweight
champion, which is important…I am looking forward to fighting him and training
hard for this fight."

Props to sherdog.com on the incredible breaking news.  The bout between
Sylvia and Emelianenko was acquired via a telephone conversation from Stary
Oskol, Russia.
Fedor is coming off a win against Hong Man Choi, the 7’2" Korean
"techno goliath."

On the other hand, Sylvia is coming off of a
huge loss to the Brazilian jiu-jitsu master Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 81-Breaking Point.
Sylvia was defeated via a guillotine choke in the third round and missed out on
having the opportunity to reacquire the UFC heavyweight belt.

Will the former
UFC champ be able to redeem himself by beating the #1 heavyweight MMA fighter in the
world?  Or will Fedor prove to be the best heavyweight fighter once
again?  There are some sources telling us that the fight will be televised by Mark Cuban’s network, HDNet.
We’ll keep everyone posted on the fight card and the rest of the details once we’re informed.
