Appeal for Kazuhiro Nakamura is Postponed

After Kazuhiro Nakamura failed to appear at yesterday’s scheduled hearing, the decision for his appeal was postponed.  The actual date for his case has not been officially released.

Nakamura faced Ryoto Machida back in September at UFC 76-knockout where he lost via a unanimous decision during his UFC debut.  Immediately after the fight, Nakamura was tested for illegal substances and his results for marijuana turned out to be positive.

The CSAC fined Nakamura a total of $500 USD and suspended him for 3 months.  His training team decided to appeal the case as they believe he had absolutely no type of drug within his system.  When Nakamura was interviewed after the results were in, he quickly denied having marijuana or any illegal substance before his bout.
