WEC Lightweight Donald Cerrone Wants To Drop Down To Featherweight To Fight Jose Aldo

Donald Cerrone

WEC lightweight (155 lbs.) fighter Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone is currently training for his upcoming WEC 45 main event fight against Ed ‘9mm’ Ratcliff, which is scheduled for December 19th.  After his bout with Ratcliff, Cerrone announced that he would like to face the current WEC featherweight (145 lbs.) champion Jose Aldo.  Although he wants to fight Aldo sometime down the road, he plans on staying as a lightweight for the rest of his career.

“I’m going to call out Jose Aldo and drop down to 145. I’m really looking forward to that. I’m not running away from the 155 pound weight class. I’m going to stay at 155, but just also going to fight at 145.”
