UFC 95 To Feature Nate Marquardt vs. Wilson Gouveia (Feb. 21 In England)

Nate "The Great" Marquardt is just about ready to get back into the UFC cage after a huge win over Martin Kampmann back in September at the UFC 88: ‘Breakthrough’ event.  The three-time middleweight King of Pancrase champion is currently 6-2 in the UFC.  However, his only two losses come from a round 1 TKO loss to current middleweight champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva and then a controversial split decision loss to Thales Leites.

As for Wilson Gouveia, he is 8-2 in the UFC with losses to Keith Jardine during the Ultimate fighter 3 finale in June of 2006.  Almost 2 years later, he suffered his second UFC defeat to Goran Reljic via TKO-strikes in the second round.  Gouveia has been able to climb back the UFC middleweight ladder by earning two consecutive victories over Ryan Jensen at UFC Fight Night 15 and then recently to Jason MacDonald the Ultimate Fighter 8 finale.

The UFC 95 battle between Nate Marquardt and Wilson Gouveia will look to put the winner into a possible #1 contender spot in the UFC middleweight division.  The bout is scheduled to take place on February 21, 2009 at the O2 arena in London, England.
