UFC 77: Marvin Eastman Not Fighting Due to Eye Surgery

Marvin “the Beastman” Eastman has been scratched off of UFC 77-Hostile Territory due to an eye surgery that was necessary according to his doctors.  According to Eastman, the cause of the surgery had been caused from the consistent use of glasses throughout the years, which then led to a slight tear of the retina.

The estimated recovery time is one month and that will not give him enough time to prepare for his bout against Demian Maia, the UFC rookie.  Beastman says that he will be ready for UFC 78 if Dana White decides to postpone the fight.

His last MMA fight was against Rob Kimmons at the IFO (International Fighting Organization- Steele Cage Promotions) that was held in early July of this year at Las Vegas Nevada, where he defeated him and acquired the Middleweight belt.

His last UFC fight was against current Light Heavyweight Champion Rampage Jackson at UFC 67, where he lost via TKO-Strikes in round 2.  Beastman was really looking forward to coming back and redeeming his last UFC loss, but we expect to see him back after he is 100% recovered.
