The former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia recently won the vacant Powerhouse World Promotions heavyweight title over Paul Buentello this past weekend. Sylvia won via TKO and plans to continue defending his belt against any challengers that are ready to step up to the plate. “The Maine-iac” is now scheduled to defend his title against Italian-Brazilian Muay Thai specialist Pedro Rizzo.

“I was supposed to fight Pedro (Rizzo) first but he had other fight obligations so Paul (Buentello) stepped in and stepped up to the task. We were expecting Pedro the first time, it didn’t happen, so now we’ll get ready for him, bring in some good kickboxers. Maybe [I’ll] take him down to the ground and submit him.”
