Roger Huerta On Fighting Eddie Alvarez At Bellator 33: “He Is Human and He Is Beatable”

The former UFC lightweight fighter Roger ‘El Matador’ Huerta has been given another chance to prove how much of a threat he can be in Bellator’s 155-pound division.  Despite his unanimous decision loss to Pat Curran at Bellator 17, Huerta has been given a shot to fight current Bellator lightweight titleholder Eddie Alvarez due to an injury Curran suffered.  Huerta talks about his upcoming bout against Alvarez, a fight he is putting complete dedication and focus.

From Roger Huerta:

“I really don’t care about the title. For me it’s just getting back up there on the rankings. You just can’t hold anything back. “You obviously saw what happened to Josh Neer and the other opponents he’s faced. But again, he is human, and he is beatable. The things that we’re working on, we’re going to have to take him out of his comfort zone to win. It’s been like I’ve been given another chance and it’s one of those things like, ‘Alright, this is it. This is for all the marbles. You probably won’t ever, ever get a chance like this again.’ And I was really stoked about it and I’m just going to give it everything I have now in my training. [All my] dedication and focus all on this guy.”
