UFC President Dana White has confirmed via his Twitter account that Thiago Alves will indeed be fighting Jon Fitch as part of the UFC 115 fight card in Vancouver, Canada. Yes!! It has been rebooked AGAIN, but hopefully their match-up will actually happen this time around.
The Alves vs Fitch rematch bout was scheduled for UFC 111, but due to a brain irregularity found in Alves’ skull, their bout was scratched off. Instead, Fitch went on to fight late replacement Ben Saunders where he won via a unanimous decision. Alves seems pretty eager to avenge his loss against Fitch come June 12, 2010.
