The former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell was debating whether or not it was time for him to retire from mixed martial arts competition.  Liddell is currently riding on a 2-fight losing streak with recent losses knockout losses to Rashad Evans at UFC 88 and then to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 97.  He was rumored to retire from the UFC after losing to Shogun in late April of 2009.

Since then, “The Iceman” took some time off and entered a dance tournament on ABC’s TV show “Dancing with the Stars.”  The time he took off has helped him clear up his mind and get back into shape.  Now he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get back in the Octagon, even if he has to fight someone like Kimbo Slice.

From Chuck Liddell:

“I still love fighting. I don’t know what we’re going to come up with. I’m going to start spending a lot of time training guys or get back in there –- one of the two. I needed some time off. “Dancing” actually gave me something to concentrate on and get in shape on. I just want to get back in shape and stay in shape and start training with people and see what I want to do. [And] why would anyone even want to see me fight Kimbo? I have no interest in that fight. Whatever. It is what it is. I guess I’d do it, if that’s who I had to fight to come back.”
