Christiane "Cyborg" Santos has reached a new contract with the Strikeforce promotion. Santos inked a 4-fight deal and may very well make her first appearance on the April 11 fight card.
Cyborg has a 6-fight winning streak going with only one loss in her MMA career. Her only defeat was attained during her MMA debut back in May of 2005 against Erica Paes at the Show Fight 2 event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The hard-hitting Brazilian seems very enthusiastic as she looks forward to making Strikeforce
her new and stable home.
On another note, Gina "Conviction" Carano is currently in talks with Strikeforce as well. Many fight fans have been anxiously waiting for a dream bout between Carano and Santos, which may actually happen after all. Nothing is official yet, but there is a good chance that Carano will sign with Strikeforce to make this fight happen.
Carano continues to be undefeated, holding a record of seven wins and no losses.
