Cain Velasquez Expects “Wrestling To Be A Big Part” of His UFC 121 Title Fight Against Brock Lesnar

Most mixed martial arts fans know that professional fights can be either standing up or on the ground, which also includes various techniques such as Muay Thai, Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, Wrestling and much more.  UFC no. 1 heavyweight title contender Cain Velasquez admits that he is obligated to be prepared in ever aspect possible for his upcoming title bout against current champ Brock Lesnar.  However, Velasquez expects his fight against Lesnar to focus a lot more on wrestling than anything else.

From Cain Velasquez:

“I can’t just stand there in front of him with no movement and let him explode for a double [-leg takedown]…. The wrestling is going to be a big part of it. He’s primarily a wrestler and I come from a wrestling background. But the fight will come down to everything. I expect there will be boxing, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and wrestling…. [But] I’m going to have to follow the game plan to perfection.”
