Josh “The Babyfaced Assassin” Barnett is currently preparing for one of the toughest mixed martial arts matches in his career. He completely understands the difficult task ahead of him as he faces Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko as part of the Affliction ‘Trilogy’ main event. Barnett considers Fedor the #1 heavyweight fighter in the world and believes that he usually maintains complete “control” over the fighter and his surroundings. Barnett respects Fedor as a fighter and as a friend, but as a professional fighter he is also confident in his own gameplan and in his skills.
The bout between Fedor and Barnett is scheduled to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on August 1st. Expect fireworks…
Snip from Josh Barnett himself:
“Fedor (Emelianenko) is a great thinker in the ring. And he always keeps control of the other fighter. It is all within his control. If he wants to take a break he can. If he wants to push the pace he can. He is in complete control.”
