Ryan Couture, son of current UFC Heavyweight champion Randy Couture, won his first amateur MMA fight this past weekend. Ryan (1-0) defeated Ricky Perez (1-1) via a triangle choke in the first round. The event took place at the West Coast Fight Club in Bellingham, Washington.
Randy’s wife and Ryan’s stepmother, Kim Couture, currently holds an MMA record of 0-1 and she is set for her second fight on November 21st. Kim will be taking on Lina Kvokov for the Strikeforce organization.
The entire family is fighting this month including Randy Couture’s heavyweight championship fight against Brock Lesnar this Saturday at UFC 91.
