The WEC 40 main event features a Bantamweight (135 lbs.) title fight between WEC champion Miguel Torres (35-1) and newcomer Takeya Mizugaki (11-2). Mizugaki looks to be very confident coming into this fight and is definitely not worried about his cardio. Although he respects the talent Torres posseses, he still feels that his game plan will help him finish the fight early and to his favor.
Mizugaki is coming into this fight with a 5-fight winning streak, acquiring all wins from his last promotion over at GCM- Cage Force. He’ll be taking on a very tough opponent who has been undefeated since November of 2003. Since then, Torres has won 16 consecutive bouts including 4 wins in the WEC.
