Just when we all thought that Tito Ortiz was definitely going to fight Rashad Evans in a rematch at UFC 78, Tito announced something that surprised the MMA world. He was actually at the Little Creek Casino located in Shelton, Washington this weekend and had a few important words to tell all of us.
Here’s a snip of what Tito had to say:
“Blah blah blah blah, my next fight will be against Wanderlei Silva or Rashad Evans”
At UFC 25, Tito Ortiz became the Light Heavyweight champion of the UFC after he defeated Wanderlei Silva for the title via a unanimous decision. The both of them have never confronted each other since this bout that occurred in April of 2000. It’s been 7 1/2 years, so expect a war if they are chosen to fight each other next.
Who will Tito’s next opponent be… Rashad Evans or Wanderlei Silva? We can only wait and see, but we will keep you guys informed whenever Dana White sets up the official fight card.
