Ken Shamrock, Royce Gracie, Gokor Chivichyan and Josh Barnett were each selected to coach a group of fighters for an event called Ring of Fire. Coming out of Las Vegas, Platinum Fighting Productions has decided to promote this new mixed martial arts event in four different locations. These venues will be taken place in China, Philippines, Macau and Japan with the best two teams facing each other in December of 2008.
The first event will take place in Manila Philippines where Team
Chivichyan will take on Team Barnett on December 9th in the Araneta
Stadium. Also on the fight card is the UFC fighter Zach Light who will be coached by Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, the current Light Heavyweight champion of the UFC.
