The former PrideFC fighter Kevin “The Monster” Randleman has announced that he has recently signed with the Strikeforce organization. Randleman inked a fight deal and plans to debut with the promotion “right away” according to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker. Randleman has not fought since May of 2008, but he says that he is ready to make his MMA return and “fight anybody, anywhere.” No opponent has been given to Randleman just yet, but he may look to fight in the cage as soon as the next Strikeforce/Showtime event in June 6 of 2009.
Snip from Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker:
“We have an announcement soon, so you’ll have to wait until next week…but we’re going to try and put him (Kevin Randleman) in the rotation right away. There’s going to be some great fights in the future for Kevin (Randleman), and we’re excited…I talked with Nevada state, and (Kevin Randleman) is cleared to go…so we’re good to go…Kevin is back, and we’re happy to have him as part of the Strikeforce/Showtime family…we’re going to put him in action right away. Right away.”
Snip from Randleman himself:
“Thank you very much for the opportunity to come back and show everybody that I’m not done yet…far from it…Now that I’m here, understand this, it comes from the heart…I’ll fight anybody, anywhere. When Scott (Coker) says it’s time to get down and dirty, understand this: I’m not coming to lose, and I’m not coming to back up.”
