Rich “Ace” Franklin was scheduled to take on Dan Henderson at UFC 103 in a rematch bout on September 19th in Dallas, Texas. However, things started to change as the UFC recently inked a deal with former UFC champion Vitor Belfort. With Henderson eagerly waiting for his second chance to fight Anderson “The Spider” Silva for the middleweight title, the UFC decided to give Henderson that second opportunity. As for Franklin, he would instead face Belfort at UFC 103 as part of the main event.
There is no set date on the ‘Silva vs. Henderson 2’ fight as we must wait for Silva’s UFC 101 bout against Forrest Griffin this Saturday night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Depending on the outcome at UFC 101, White and the UFC will make eventually set a date for a ‘Silva vs. Henderson 2’ event.
