This past weekend, Strikeforce aired a 4-fight MMA card which included a heavyweight battle between Fabricio Werdum and Antonio ‘Big Foot’ Silva. After 3 rounds of war, the judges gave Werdum a unanimous decision win over ‘Big Foot.’ In a post-fight interview immediately after their bout, Silva tells us how he was disappointed with his overall performance that night.
Snip from Silva himself:
“I was feeling very comfortable with my stand-up game…I felt I had him in trouble. I was feeling very good standing up, so much so that I let him stand up. But he’s got Brazilian blood in him, and he kept coming…I think that I won the first round, and I think that the second round was pretty close…I think the third round was his. I tired a bit. I think it was a great fight, (but) I left it in the judges hands…I think both of us can be proud of the fight.”
