World Victory Road has confirmed a bout between EliteXC champion Antonio "Big Foot" Silva and Yoshihiro Nakao for Sengoku 7. The fight is slated to take place at the Saitama Super arena in Saitama, Japan on January 4th, 2009.
Silva’s last fight was held back in July this year, acquiring the EliteXC heavyweight title against Justin Eilers via TKO strikes in the second round. His title was later stripped due to a positive test result for the steroid Boldenone. Boldenone is illegal for humans to take in sports competition, but it is commonly used by bodybuilders. The steroid increases appetite and helps build strenth and size. Silva is banned from competiting in the state of California, but he’ll be able fight in Japan on January 4.
The World Victory Road: Sengoku 7 fight card is already taking shape with 2 title matches. Takanori Gomi will be taking on Satoru Kitaoka for the lightweight belt and Kazuo Misaki will fight Jorge Santiago for the vacant middleweight title.
