Jake Rosholt On Fighting Chris Leben At UFC 102: “I Will Beat Him Wherever The Fight Goes”

Rosholt vs Leben

UFC middleweight fighter Jake Rosholt (5-1) made his UFC debut back in February of 2009 at UFC Fight Night 17.  It was at UFN 17 that he acquired his first loss in his mixed martial arts career, but he seems extremely motivated to bounce back with a victory tonight at UFC 102.  Rosholt is scheduled to fight the hard-hitting brawler Chris “The Crippler” Leben as part of the televised main fight card.  Although he respects Leben’s stand-up skills, Rosholt feels that he has what it takes to “beat him wherever the fight goes.”  It will be an interesting bout to watch, so expect a war tonight.

From Jake Rosholt:

“I’ve been excited for this ever since I heard we were fighting…I want to win. … Chris Leben is a tough fight, but I am ready…I am not afraid to stand with Leben. He likes to brawl that’s his thing he likes to stand and trade…I will beat him wherever the fight goes it doesn’t matter to me…This is a huge, huge fight for me. I’m fighting someone with a big name, who has tons of fans and respect. It’s on pay-per-view, on the main card, so I’m pumped. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the biggest fight of my life…. Chris is a very tough fighter who always comes forward and puts pressure on his opponents, and he’s gonna try to knock my head off. But I’ll be ready for that and I’ll be able to take the fight wherever I want.”
