ICON Sport and EliteXC joined forces this past weekend to present "Hard Times" at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii. Although the current ICON middleweight champion Kala "Kolohe" Hose did not put his belt on the line, he was still able to claim victory over Rolando Dominique in the first round.
With less than one month to prepare, former UFC middleweight contender, Phil "New York Badass" Baroni also fought and won via TKO-strikes against Ron Verdadero. Baroni added another win to his record after defeating British sensation Scott Jansen at the Cage Rage 27 event held last month on July 12th.
Also on the card was Bao Quach who was honored with the ICON’s 140-pound championship title for the very first time. Quach defeated Mark Oshiro via a unanimous decision.
