The UFC 92 ‘The Ultimate 2008’ weigh-ins have come to a conclusion. The even took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday evening. We are just a few hours away from the most anticipated UFC fight card of the year.
Forrest Griffin will be looking to defend his UFC light heavyweight title for the first time in his career against the undefeated Rashad "Sugar" Evans. Both fighters looked great coming into tomorrow’s UFC 92 main event.
As part of the co-main event, Antonio "Minotauro" Rodrigo Nogueira will also be defending his UFC heavyweight title against Frank Mir. The winner of this bout will prepare to face interim heavyweight champion and former WWE heavyweight superstar Brock Lesnar. Both Nogueira and Mir look pretty much prepared for the fight many UFC fans have been patiently waiting for.
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva seemed to be pretty calm during some of the pre-fight press conferences. However, during the weigh-ins, it all seemed to finally burst. As both fighters prepared for their intense staredown, Rampage lightly shoved Silva and then Silva responded with a two-hand push. Silva has beaten Jackson two times over in PrideFC, but time has passed and both fighters have changed in many ways. This fight has the potential to be the greatest fight of the year…can’t wait!!!
