UFC no. 1 heavyweight title contender Cain Velasquez is next in line to take on current champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 121. The Mexican-American fighter tells us that he is in shape and ready to take the opportunity to fight for the belt, even against a more “bigger and really powerful” guy like Lesnar. Velasquez seems to be pretty confident with his gameplan come October 23rd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
From Cain Velasquez:
“I’m in shape now, so it pretty much doesn’t matter to me either. (I’m) just staying ready, and that’s pretty much it, just have to find out when we fight. [Training has] been good, just getting a lot of technical stuff down, really working technique with my coaches. Trying to improve in stuff that I think I need improvement on. I think it’s been good. I think I match up well. He’s definitely a bigger guy and also really powerful, but I think I’ve trained and wrestled guys that are his size, so I’m used to competing against guys that are that big. I’m just excited for this opportunity.”

I’m with you on that one, it’s going to be interesting to see Velasquez use some of his wrestling skills on Lesnar

I think “no punch knockout” valazquez is going to get mauled by Brock. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a real big fan of Lesner, but thats how it’s going to go down… Just my opinion
