Urijah Faber’s attempt to acquire the featherweight belt he once had led to a broken right hand in the early rounds. The fractured hand forced him to use more of his kicks and elbows throughout the bout. Brown sensed the injury early in the fight, but Faber showed tremendous heart to keep the fight going all 5 rounds. Faber’s hometown crowd cheered him on every second of the fight which motivated the former champ to keep the fight going.
