The UFC has announced the official releases of Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch and Mike Ciesnolevicz after disappointing losses earlier this year.  Boetsch made a terrific first impression when he made his debut back in February of 2008 at UFC 81.  He filled in for an injured Tomasz Drwal and defeated David Heath by way of brutal TKO in the first round.  Since then, he is now 2-2 in the UFC with his most recent unanimous decision loss to Jason Brilz at UFC 96.

Ciesnolevicz also made his debut as a late replacement to fight Neil Grove.  He defeated Grove in the first round via a heel hook submission back in February of 2009 at UFC 95.  The Miletich fighter went on to lose his second bout against Tomasz Drwal by way of TKO in the first round at The Ultimate Fighter 9 finale.  The UFC decided to release Ciesnolevicz from his fight contract due to his performance.
