Despite the hype behind Denis Kang prior to his contract with the UFC, many expected him to be a huge threat in the UFC welterweight division. With a UFC record of 1-2, the North American promotion has announced the release of Kang for his weak effort to stand out amongst the rest of the 170-pound weight class. Kang holds an overall MMA record of 32-12-1, which will easily place him back into any fight promotion including Strikeforce, MFC, DREAM or World Victory Road.
