Former UFC Fighter Yoshiyuki Yoshida Joins Bellator FC Welterweight Division

MMA welterweight fighter Yoshiyuki Yoshida was recently released by the UFC after suffering back to back losses against Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson and later on to Michael Guymon.  Yoshida leaves the UFC with a 2-3 record, but still holds a rather decent overall MMA record of 11-5.

The fourth degree black belt Judo expert will be joining the welterweight division over at Bellator Fighting Championships, a rising MMA company with superb fighters.  Yoshida will be colliding with some very tough competition in his weight class, including fighters like Ben Askren, Dan Hornbuckle, former UFC fighter Brad Blackburn and current Bellator champ Lyman Good.

Although there is no word on his next opponent, Yoshida is expected to make his Bellator debut on September 30th, 2010.
