UFC 88: Rashad Evans Tries To Relax Before Fighting Chuck Liddell, But “You Can’t Escape Him Anywhere”

Rashad “Sugar” Evans is currently training for the biggest
fight of his MMA career. The upcoming
bout he has against Chuck “Iceman” Liddell at UFC 80: “Breakthrough” will be
the biggest test for him and he knows it.

Evans acquired a draw against UFC’s former light heavyweight
champ Tito Ortiz in his last bout. His 3-round
duel with Ortiz has helped him gain more confidence amongst top-level names in
this sport. However, Liddell is probably
one of the strongest and most dangerous fighters to step into the octagon.  The 38-year old Liddell had lost his belt to
Rampage Jackson at UFC 71, but continues on his quest to acquiring his belt
back once again.  First, he’ll have to
pass through the undefeated Evans (11-0-1) who also wants his chance at the
light heavyweight title. Here’s a snip
from Evans:

"Chuck is probably the most popular fighter in the UFC.
I went to see a movie (Pineapple Express) the other day to relax and clear my
head for the fight and I see Chuck on the screen. You can’t escape him anywhere.
He’s really popular…I’m trying to get away and think about something else, and
Chuck’s beating up this black dude. I’m like damn."
