UFC 85: Martin Kampmann vs. Jorge Rivera

After a very long absence, the return of Martin Kampmann to the octagon has finally come.  He was ready to take on Rich Franklin during the main event at UFC 72 until he injured his knee during a training session.

"I was going for a takedown, and the guy just kind of fell on my knee…It was real bad luck. My knee popped out and hyper-extended the wrong
way. I tore my ACL and MCL, and I tore my meniscus as well. It was
major surgery."

He’s officially back to training and was recently given an opponent for his next fight.  Kampmann has been extremely anxious to get back inside the cage, but will he be that same versatile fighter that defeated top UFC middleweights such as Crafton Wallace, Thales Leites and then Drew McFedries??  We’ll just have to see how smooth that knee is doing after a little over a year of recovery.

Jorge "El Conquistador" Rivera is coming off a brilliant win against Kendall Grove, dominating "Da Spyder" at UFC 80-Rapid Fire.  He knocked him out in under two minutes of the first round.  Rivera is known for his huge knockout ability, so the match-up should be very interesting.   El conquistador will try to add another win to his record at UFC 85 in London, England this June.
