The UFC organization has officially announced that UFC 79-Nemesis has been completely sold out! This Saturday-December 29th, 2007, UFC 79 will headline the welterweight interim title match between Matt Hughes and George St. Pierre . After Matt Serra announced a back injury earlier this month, it was GSP who was called in to take his place. Dana White has labeled this match-up as the "interim welterweight title bout" since Serra’s return continues to be unknown.
Also featuring on the fight card is former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell who will be looking to face the former PrideFC light heavyweight champion Wanderlei Silva, in one of the most anticipated matches in mixed martial arts history. Both men are coming off 2 losses, so they are both extremely thirsty for the win.
