UFC 79: Eddie Sanchez to face Soa Palelei

Eddie Sanchez (7-1-0) came into the UFC in September of 2006 and won on his debut against Mario Neto by way of knockout in only 17 seconds.  Thereafter, he faced the very powerful Mirko Cro Cop, where he lost by TKO-strikes at UFC 67.

Sanchez then claimed victory over Colin Robinson, defeating him in 32 seconds within the first round.  Now, he will be officially coming back into the octagon at UFC 79-Nemesis.

Soa Palelei will be fighting with the UFC for the very first time on December 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  With a record of 8 wins and only 1 loss, Palelei’s credentials seem adequate enough to put up a good fight with the rest of the guys over at the UFC.  Palelei is currently with Team Quest, the same camp where Dan Henderson and UFC newcomer Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou train in.
