UFC 77: Ryan Jensen will Replace Marvin Eastman

Marvin Eastman has been removed from UFC 77-Hostile Territory due to an eye injury that was caused from the consistent use of glasses throughout the years, which then led to a slight tear of the retina.  The estimated recovery period at the time of his surgery was approximately one month, but it will not give him enough time to prepare for this upcoming event.

Eastman’s replacement will be Ryan Jensen, the Nebraskan who started fighting at UFC 74 and lost via an armbar submission.  However, his record remains at a remarkable 11-2 and will look to be facing the UFC newcomer Demian Maia.  The contract is not official as of right now, but Dana White seems almost certain that Jensen will be the man to fight Maia on October 20th.

The main event of UFC 77 will feature the ultimate rematch between Anderson Silva and Rich Franklin.  Also on the card is former UFC Heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia as he gets ready to face the undefeated Brandon Vera.
