Dana White stated in an interview that Keith Jardine would be the best man to face Chuck Liddell. They are both coming from a loss and it will help both of them redeem themselves.
The former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell was defeated by Quinton Jackson recently in UFC 71, but Chuck feels that he is capable of getting his belt back once again.
Here is what Dana had to say:
“Keith Jardine is a tough guy. He got caught. That can happen. But Chuck got caught too. It is definitely a main event, in my opinion. Jardine beat a lot of good guys, and he absolutely deserves to be fighting Chuck. He wouldn’t if Chuck still had the title, but I don’t think he needs to win a lot of fights just to get a fight with Chuck.”
UFC 76 already has two major fights, which include Mauricio Shogun who is debuting for the very first time on UFC and he will be facing Forrest Griffin who is coming from a win against Hector Ramirez.
