At the UFC 117 main event, Chael Sonnen landed 320 strikes versus Anderson Silva’s 64 strikes during all rounds. Sonnen’s dominating performance just wasn’t enough to put away the UFC middleweight champ as Silva won via a miraculous triangle choke with less than two minutes remaining in the fifth and final round.
