The undefeated UFC light heavyweight contenders Thiago Silva (13-0) and Lyoto Machida (13-0) are weeks away from participating in the UFC 94 co-main event.  Machida has stated over and over about how confident he feels coming into this fight.

Both men are hungry for the belt that Rashad "Sugar" Evans currently holds.  Dana White has said in the past that a win for either fighter here will put them in a title shot position due to their UFC winning streaks.

Although Machida is known for his stick-and-move style of fighting, Silva plans to cut some space for Machida to run around.  Silva plans to "run after" Machida throughout the entire fight if he has to.  He feels that it will probably be the best way he could stop Machida’s usual gameplan.

Here’s snip from Thiago Silva as he talked to tatame.com:

"He doesn’t engage in the fight, but if he does, I’ll be very thankful.  I believe he’ll run away the entire fight and I’m prepared for this.  My mind is focused and he won’t make me nervous.  If he runs, I’ll run after him."
