The UFC has announced yet another bout for the UFC 102 main fight card that is slated for August 29.  UFC light heavyweights Thiago Silva and Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine will be squaring off at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon as part of the co-main event.

Silva was undefeated up until his last fight against current 205-pound champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida back in January of 2009 at UFC 94.  He lost via a knockout in the final second remaining in the first round.  He now holds an overall MMA record of 13-1 and a UFC record of 4-1.  He plans to learn from his last defeat and push himself back into the light heavyweight race.

Jardine is also coming into this UFC 102 fight with a unanimous decision loss to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson back in March of 2009 at UFC 96.  Jardine is currently 6-4 in the UFC with wins over top fighters including former light heavyweight champions Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Forrest Griffin.  He too wants to jump back into the 205-pound race, but he’ll have to get past the always dangerous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu artist on August 29th.
