The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale: Medical Suspensions And Injuries

The NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) has released the
list of medical suspensions and injuries for the Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale
event that occurred this past Saturday at The Palms in Las Vegas (June 21st).

Here are the official list of suspensions and injuries:

  • Evan Tanner who lost to Kendall Grove via a split decision
    is suspended until August 6 and can’t have any contact until July 22nd because
    of a laceration near his left eye.
  • Diego Sanchez who defeated Luigi Fioravanti has been
    suspended until July 22 with no contact until July 13 for precautionary
    reasons. On the other hand, Luigi Fioravanti was suspended and there can be no
    contact until December 19 because of a right-knee injury. According to the report, Fioravanti can be
    cleared early, but only by an orthopedic doctor. His minimum suspension is up until July 22
    with no contact until July 13.
  • Spencer Fisher who defeated Jeremy Stephens is suspended until July 22 with no
    contact until July 13.
  • Matthew Riddle who defeated Dante Rivera is suspended until
    December 19 due to a fifth-finger injury. However, he can be cleared early with X-rays by an orthopedic doctor. The minimum suspension he must serve is until
    July 22 with no contact until July 13.
  • Josh Burkman who lost to Dustin Hazelett is suspended until August 21 with no
    contact until July 22.
  • Marvin Eastman who lost to Drew McFedries is suspended until
    Aug. 21 with no contact until August 6.
  • Matt Brown who defeated Matt Arroyo is suspended until July
    22 with no contact until July 13. On the other hand, Matt Arroyo is suspended
    until Aug. 6 with no contact until July 22.
