Rich
Franklin will be facing Anderson Silva
at UFC
77-Hostile Territory on October 20th. As he is training hardcore for
his upcoming rematch, he is doing some charity work as well.
Franklin will be debuting his new TV show in Kentucky tomorrow (September
14, 2007). The show consists of people who go through certain tragedies,
yet are able to cope and/or recover from those misfortunes.
Props to mmajunkie.com for talking to
Joe Garvey, a 21-year-old from Indiana,
is spotlighted in the show’s pilot episode. Garvey was injured in an ATV
accident seven years ago and was told he’d never walk again. However, he
eventually regained use of his legs.
Franklin goes
on to say:
“ Joe’s story is a great story that shows you can do amazing things
when you’re willing to fight and put in some hard work…I was drawn into the
story and show because it’s about everyday champions who face great
challenges…It’s so inspirational! ”
