PrideFC Vet Mark Hunt Signs 4 Fight Deal With UFC, Set To Face Sean McCorkle At UFC 119

The former PrideFC fighter Mark Hunt has joined the North American promotion, signing a 4-fight deal with the UFC.  Although Hunt  had lost five bouts in a row, UFC President Dana White  explained how he signed the New Zealand fighter because he was part of a deal where he contractually owed him fights after the UFC purchased Pride.  Let us remind you that Hunt not just to anyone, but to top opponents including Fedor Emelianenko, Josh Barnett, Alistair Overeem, Melvin Manhoef and Gegard Mousasi.

Hunt is now scheduled to make his octagon debut against Sean McCorkle as part of UFC 119.  The event is scheduled to take place on September 25th at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

This will be the first time since Pride Critical Countdown Absolute on July 1, 2006 when both Nogueira brothers have fought at the same card.  Whether or not it was done on purpose or not, both Nogueiras are expected to fight on that same fight card as well.  Antonio Rodrigo ‘Minotauro’ Nogueira will be taking on Frank Mir, while Antonio Rogerio ‘Lil Nog’ Nogueira will be fighting against Ryan Bader.
